The bicyc...Your suspicions are absolutely correct. The bicycle safety "tips" were published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration which deals primarily with automobile safety. I would agree that there is so much more to riding on the roads than merely controlling your bike and keeping it out of potholes. Vehicle traffic also needs to take extra precautions to ensure that they leave sufficient room when passing bicyclists and that the lane of travel is clear before turning. If you would be willing to provide any additional tips that could assist the public with bicycle safety we would be more than happy to publish them here. Thank you for your input.
